Of cause there is a difference & like I said above backblaze yes is an all round full backup service, where as pCloud is more a limited in size data storage system that can also be used for backup of specific files & also offers a monthly payment option, but you say it’s not real life differences, well it is because again it comes down to everyone personal choice & needs in the real world as to which one will work for them I’m not comparing both and infact I did actually say above there is a difference between pCloud & Backblaze. You want your data to always be secure and available should the worst-case scenario come to pass. These are important factors when you are depending on a Cloud data backup service to be a keystone of your data retention plan. (I would not invest in a "lifetime plan" in relatively new service that is so limited in what it offers.)īackblaze has a much longer history as a company, with a proven customer service department that is really quite good in my experience. I do not see a real-world functional difference between the two services that justifies the data limits and extra cost of pCloud. I think that you are making a distinction between pCloud and Backblaze which does not actually exist. Well personally I’m not looking to complete a full system back up online as I’d rather keep this on physical local drives and for me it’s more about having a back & braces backup up/storage solution for just my photography RAW files & so I like the idea of pCloud which works as an actual external hard drive on your pc/Mac yet is online (I of course have a fully set up local physical backup system for them too) & I know a lot of people have recommended backblaze, which I am still considering however yes it’s unlimited but it’s aimed at being a full system backup service online. Thank you, I’m looking at the paid options as would like around 2tb storage.

I find it more generous than both Dropbox and iCloud for free storage. I use pCloud, which gives me up to 10GB free online sync/storage.
